Autumn Statement Summary
Chancellor Philip Hammond has described his first Autumn Statement as a plan to ensure the UK economy is “match-fit”.
He also announced that this years Autumn Statement will be the final one and that as of next year the UK will have a budget in autumn setting out the tax changes in advance of the next tax year. A spring statement will be issued from 2018 which will be a response to forecasts from the Office for Budget Responsibility.
